  1. REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTERING / USING OF THE LIBRARY
  1. All are requested to deposit their belongings / bags at the baggage counter. But you may bring pen and paper inside.
  2. As a general rule; Borrower’s number and ID are required in borrowing and returning of all library materials.
  1. BORROWING REGULATIONS
1. All books and other reading materials like newspapers, magazine, and the likes are for LIBRARY USE ONLY.
2. Readers are allowed to borrow two (2) books at a time and must bee return to the librarian-in-charge after use.
3. The borrower’s must sign the book card, record it in the logbook and leave the card to the assigned librarian together with their borrower’s card.
4. Readers are responsible for materials borrowed and liable for any lost or damaged of it until these are returned to the librarian-in-charge.

  1. LIBRARY USER’S RESPONSIBILITY
1. Proper conduct is expected of everyone at all times. Anyone causing disturbances will be asked to leave the library.
2. Eating, Drinking, Smoking and sleeping are strictly prohibited.
3. Cellphones should be turned on a silent mode upon entering the library.
4. All library materials should be handled with care and should be returned to the librarian-in-charge after use.
5. Orderliness and cleanliness should be observed at all times. Wearing caps and indecent attire are strictly prohibited.
6. 30 minutes before the closing time all borrowed books should be return to the library-in-charge to be able to put the library in order for the next day’s work

7. MULTI-MEDIA AND INTERNET SERVICE SECTION

  • Faculty member’s and students are entitled to use the computer’s
  1. A minimum of 30mins is given to each user. However, the session may be extended provided that no other user wants to avail such services during that period. But one should wait at least 5minutes.
  2. Student who wants to have an access to the internet are required to present their valid identification card.
  3. Faculty member’s and student’s who want to use the computer should ask for assistance from library staff.

8. ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOG ( OPAC )


An OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) is an online bibliography






 of a library collection. OPAC search form allows searching by any






 combination of author and title. Terms that do not indicate a






holding location have not been encoded, indicating that they






 may not be available.




FINES AND OFFENSES




Borrowers may replace lost or damaged materials.
Writing on books, library tables and chairs, theft of any library materials, tearing of pages and all other mutilation of books and other materials are strictly prohibited and are subject to disciplinary action. Any library user’s liable for any violation or with outstanding obligations shall also lose his/her library privileges.



 Acceptable Use Policy could be something as simple as:


1. The J.P Laurel Sr. High School E-Library recognizes the academic need for some, if not all of its students, teachers, employees to have access to the Internet while on the job, using academic computers. As such, J.P Laurel Sr. High School E-Library has made the academic decision to make the Internet avail-able to students, teachers, employees for J.P Laurel Sr. High School E-Library academic purposes.

2. J.P Laurel Sr. high School E-library intends for the Internet to be accessed for academic purposes and expects that employees, teachers should prioritize the student to use the computer.

3. J.P Laurel Sr. High School E-Library specifically prohibits its students, teachers,employees from accessing the following types of sites using academic computers:
           a. Gambling sites
           b. Auction sites
           c. Hate sites
           d. Pornographic sites
           e. Any site engaging in or encouraging illegal activity

4. The school reserves the right to use monitoring software to make sure the school IAUP is being adhered to by its students, teachers and employees. The school may record and/or monitor one or more employees’ computer and Internet activity for any reason and without any specific notice.

5. By reading this document and using the E-Library
           a. You agree that you have had the opportunity to review this agreement and ask any questions regarding this document.
           b. You agree to adhere to the school's E-library IAUP.
           c. You agree that you will be subject to disciplinary measures, including possible termination, if you violate the IAUP.
